A Mother Who Lost Everything

Mia Smith

In September 2018, my mother lost her job just because she came to the birth of my son who endured a birth injury. Despite her own medical issues, she still helped care for my son as I worked to provide for him. In April 2019 she lost her home then having to move in with me and my grandmother sleeping on a couch. The separation from her last job caused her to be unable to find work because of a later found herniated disk. In June 2019, the last thing she had to her name (her car) which was 80% paid off was repossessed. I wish I could give my mother the world even knowing that’s impossible, but I know a means of transportation would mean all the world to her. Please help me make my mother’s year better and Christmas one she will never forget. Sincerely, Chyna
