Family, Love and patience

Carla Rodgers

My children and I lives changed dramatically when my mom became sick three years ago. I had to go on intermittent fmla from work based upon her physical conditions along with her strange behaviors. My kids grades and moral declined significantly.
It took two years before she was diagnosed with the onset of dementia.
By this time I was being severely harassed at my job. I almost lost my home and have become depressed and physically sick myself.
Currently, I have a hard time getting my mom to and from her doctors appointment and church, in our tahoe. The last time she went to therapy it took four hours of us trying to get her in the truck to go home. We only got her in when I called the non emergency number from Tinley park, illinois and they sent an ambulance to help us lift my mom in the truck. With the sonic my mom could go to her appointments and we can all go out as a family again. I’ve been on leave from work since last year. I feel like the sonic would help bring the spark back to my family that we lost three years ago.
