Winning a car would be something! Winning a reliable ,new car, would something incredible. My kid’s dad works very hard at a steel mill, to support us and and our two kids. His schedule changes often, as he is depended on very heavily at his job. Raising our kids outside of daycare, is a blessing, and a privilege, but also means that being a stay at home mom is necessary. As rewarding as it is, it doesn’t replace a second paycheck. So, I am now crocheting as my side hustle, to save for a vehicle that will be reliable. We had two cars at one time, but no longer could afford a second car payment, so we sold my car. I now feel like the ‘no mom’, as I have to say no to certain things because I do not have a vehicle. Extracurricular activities such as hiking, taking the kids to jump zone, seeing family that is farther away, have all become very difficult without a second car. Being patient is the name of the game for us right now. Entering this contest and winning, would be the best gift for my kids this year because it truly would keep on giving. Last Thanksgiving, I found my birth mom in a nursing home in Chicago. I hardly get the chance to see her. Winning this car would help me and her to catch up on so much missed time. She is much older than I figured she would have been, so I do feel pressed for time with getting a vehicle . I do believe in working for everything you have and I have never entered a contest before. But this contest was too big of an opportunity, to let pride get in the way. Fingers crossed! Happy holidays everyone.
