A miracle is experiencing the unbelievable during life’s toughest moments. When I was 12, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Breast Cancer. Being the oldest of three children I had to take the responsibility of taking care of my siblings, while being the voice for my mom when she was too weak to interact with others. Although this may seem like a minimal task, it was a tremendous burden on a 12-year-old. My father had to work long hours to make the additional money needed to pay for my mom’s treatments. This experience has only made me stronger both emotionally and mentally. I am happy to say, miracles do happen, my mother is cancer free. Looking back on the years past, I know that there is one thing that I can say for sure. If one door closes then find another door. If there is no other door, then you go through the window. Now it is time for me to go to college and to follow my dreams. Winning a car would alleviate a huge financial burden that my family cannot take on along with college expenses. I believe in miracles I’ve seen it first hand. Thank you!
