The Thorns of Life.

Tyreak Thomas

When I saw the post on Facebook, there was 1 person who stood out distinctly in my mind. Her name is Octavia Cater. She has a household of 5 children, all of which demand her constant attention. From Youngest to oldest, there is a 5th , 8th, 9th, 10th grader, and a freshman in college. She is a single mother who has been through so much. Her Ex- Husband paid all the bills, so there was no need for her to ever have a job, we he left the house everything fell apart financially. She was forced to scrap up whatever money she could from family members and get a job while still trying to make sure that the children had her undivided motherly attention. There was a car in the picture before the separation, but the car had to be sold to put food on the table and pay house bills. They have a car now but the car over heats and shuts down every where they go, even if its right down the street to the grocery store. It would mean the world to her if she could wake up on Christmas morning with a brand new car to lift her spirit. I think she might have given up but this might bring her a bit of peace in her in her gloom, not having to think about how she is going to get to work to continue to put food on the table and keep the house flowing with heat this winter. Help Octavia Cater please!
